Garment Marking Wax and Chalk

Garment marking wax is suitable for use on wool or worsted materials and is usually removed from the material by a warm iron. Be sure to test the marker on a spare piece of fabric before using it to ensure that you can remove the mark after completing your work.

Fabric marking or ‘Tailors Chalk’ is used by tailors to mark outlines on garments, ready for cutting. After the cut has been made the chalk is then removed with a stiff brush. It is also used extensively within the upholstery trade.

Cloth marking pencils look the same as regular pencils however instead of lead they have marking chalk inside. They have the same properties as tailor's chalk as the mark can be bushed off when finished with.
